Snowboard Dads Take Toddlers For Wild Ride at Mammoth Mountain

Mammoth Mountain in the Eastern Sierra of California is known for its long season and sunny weather and also is the home to Wave Rave Snowboard Shop. Wave Rave founder Steve Klassen and his good pal Bob Carlson of Venice Beach-based Arbor Snowboards recently took a day on the slopes with their daughters, Kinsley (2) and Emma (4).

While most parents grimace at the idea of bringing toddlers to the ski slopes in fear of dealing with expensive lessons, crying kids and a snails pace on-snow, these two snowboard dads decided to shift the learning curve into high gear by balancing their beloved daughters on their boards, between their legs, and sending it down the mountain.

The joy and delight for parent and child is obvious and the genuine glee the little girls get from flying down the slopes has no doubt hooked them for life.

And while the gentle groomers and sweeping turns seem ok with the moms of the world, we’re not sure Bob and Steve’s wives will be too thrilled with their daughters having such an early and sketchy introduction to the terrain park.

Then again – those were just dolls – so great job Wave Rave at making a killer viral video!

If it’s good enough for Mashable, it’s good enough for us.
