Two Florida Teens Capture GoPro Footage of 16-Foot Great White Shark

Two teens fishing off Ponce Inlet on Sunday were able to capture something unexpected: up-close video of a 16-foot great white shark lurking in the water.

CBS Miami reports that Wylie Phelan and Taylor Magone, both 18 from Port Orange, were in about 120 feet of water when they noticed the great white circling their boat.

Magone grabbed his GoPro and dipped it into the water to record the video of a lifetime. The teens had no problem sharing the Volusia County waters with the massive shark, in fact, they even described it as being “friendly.”

During their next trip, they plan to keep a look out for the animal.
